Swimming

Swimming is the primary skill required of surf lifesavers. All club members need to pass a swimming proficiency test to ensure they are competent in the water. Swimming is also a surf sport events and forms part of the Ironman and other relay events.
During the season the Club Swim is held every Sunday morning at 10.30am at the Club. All Club members are encouraged to participate regardless of age and ability.

Swimming training sessions for all Club members are now being held at Uniswim each week. Coached by Nat Benjanuvatra, these sessions are great for people wanting to improve their fitness and technique. All levels are catered for. There is no coaching fee but pool entry is $3.50 per session (or you can purchase a 10x entry card for $35 from UniSwim).
